Social Value

Building strong community relationships is a cornerstone of our wider business strategy. We aim to make positive social impacts on areas local to our offices and those we support during live projects.

Our Environment, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) strategy defines our approach to delivering social value in our communities. Exyte Hargreaves is proactive in delivering an exciting programme of support and engagement in partnership with key stakeholders.

Early Careers

We work closely with Rochdale Sixth Form College to provide student opportunities in apprenticeship and graduate programmes. Since 2013, our Engineering Young Talent Programme has seen over 50 apprentices progress through the business, with some now holding management and leadership roles. We are also fully supportive of national initiatives such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Supporting the Shakers

In 2019, we shared our local community’s shock as Bury FC was expelled from the Football League. Today, we are proud to be associated with our reborn local team as a club sponsor of Bury FC. Exyte Hargreaves is collaborating with the club on a number of community engagement schemes as well as providing financial support as the club begins to climb the football pyramid.

We also contribute to other local businesses and initiatives, such as Bury Hospice and the Bridgewater Carnival close to Hinkley Point C. Our teams are in regular contact with local government associations to discuss other ways in which Exyte Hargreaves can make a positive impact on our local area.

Charity Partnerships

The good causes supported by the business are nominated and chosen by our people. We are delighted to be working alongside many local and national charities, supporting campaigns which matter most to the Exyte Hargreaves team.

In recent years we have completed charity walks and runs, bake sales, pool tournaments and knitwear sales and other personal challenges for a variety of organisations including Movember, Royal British Legion and MND. Our chosen charity for 2023 is the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.
