The Role

Ensure safe working in all company workplaces without harm to people, property, or the environment. Develop Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours to enable competent ESH advice and guidance. Work with the ESH team to enable the continuous improvement of health, safety & environment. Promote a culture of safety throughout the business. Assist in the production, review and monitoring of safety documentation. Assist in maintaining an injury free workplace where everybody goes home safely.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implement EHL ‘Core Values’ within daily tasks.
  • Promote ESH ‘Best Practice ‘, implementing company and legislative ESH requirements.
  • Assist in health, safety, and environmental internal and external audits.
  • Facilitate the company safety objectives, promoting safety awareness and ownership.
  • Attend ESH/SHEQ committee meetings.
  • Assist to review ESH systems, practices, and procedures within the Integrated Management System
  • Work towards the Safety, Health and Environment Technician Standard including End of Point of Assessment.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 5 GCSEs – English, Maths grades 4 & above.
  • A-Level / Level 3 qualification.
  • Computer literate, as minimum Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF
