The Role

The welder’s role is welding both HVAC products and specialist ventilation system products for safety critical facilities. This role requires a combination of technical expertise & precision across various product types/materials. This role reports directly to production supervision & sits within the operational level of the business.

Key Responsibilities

· Carry out all duties in accordance with weekly plans.

· Perform welding tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.

· Complete general welding duties associated with all product types (Folded & Welded) in accordance with welding procedures.

· Complete weld repair activities in accordance with welding procedures.

· Understand & comply with associated welding standards.

· Assist & support sheet metal workers during tacking tasks during manufacture.

· Complete basic fabrication tasks to support manufacture.

· Comply in full with manufacturing SHEQ best practice/ behaviours and legislation.

· Support the manufacturing team in achieving deliverables.

About You

· Experienced qualified coded welder.

· Experience welding both stainless steel & carbon steels ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.

· Experience with both Tig & Mag welding processes.

· Basic knowledge to interpret manufacturing drawings and engineering information.

· Basic fabrication knowledge to support manufacturing assembly.

· Basic knowledge in using a variety of power/hand tools.

· Overhead crane Experience (training will be provided).

· Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative & with others safely & efficiently.

Highly Desirable (but not essential):

· HVAC Experience.

· Nuclear Quality related Experience
