The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Business Partner to become a valuable member of our team based in Bury. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team dedicated to collaborating closely to enhance and execute HR strategies effectively. In this role, you will offer comprehensive support to key business stakeholders, ensuring operational people processes run smoothly. The role will require you to travel to our sites across the UK a least once a month. We offer Hybrid working, typically 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the key people partner and trusted advisor for managers and teams across the whole employee lifecycle, e.g. recruitment/selection, onboarding, comp & ben, time & absence, separation, performance and talent management.
  • Support managers with clarification of questions regarding the implementation of collective bargaining agreements and Company agreements.
  • Contribute and implement various people related projects and initiatives together with other member of the local HR team and Group Centres of Excellence.
  • Provide advice and Implementation of labour law topics (e., disciplinary warnings and termination) or in conflict situations.
  • Steer with job classification and remuneration issues in relation to applicable agreements for stakeholder group.
  • Drive in employee development, succession planning and nomination of employees and managers.
  • Manage the operational people aspects of reorganizations/restructurings at a department level, including advice on FTE measure (hiring/ramp-down).
  • Contribute in prioritised global roadmap initiatives for timely and qualitative implementation incl. Rollout in Business.
  • Leverage people and organisational data to clarify and address business challenge and improvements.
  • Actively contribute to and develop the HR operations function by sharing knowledge, providing support, identify and implementing improvements and efficiencies.
  • Act proactively in the continuous HR improvement across all HR functional areas

 

Qualifications and Experience Required

You will have experience of working with key stakeholders to discuss people challenges and be experienced in providing guidance on people practices such as restructures, hiring and succession planning. The role requires the ability to influence and build relationships with people around the business and be able to question and challenge others to get to the root of people and business issues.

You will have a good understanding of the many disciplines within HR, including diversity and inclusion, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management, employee and union relations, etc. This role will require someone that is ideally CIPD level 5 qualified. The ability to obtain Security clearance is essential due to site requirements.
