Our #24In24 series is profiling the new members of team Hargreaves who’ve joined the company throughout 2024. Here is a record of our recent interview with Project Engineer, Eamon Tarrant.
Why did you decide to join Exyte Hargreaves?
I decided to join Exyte Hargreaves because I wanted to explore the wider construction industry. In my previous role I undertook projects within the typical commercial sector. After seeing Exyte Hargreaves on LinkedIn I noticed that their client base was very different to the usual projects I have been used to working on. Further to this I felt that I could learn from them whilst sharing my knowledge within a sector that I am new to. After researching the company, I was impressed by the reputation of strong career growth and the kind way that employees are looked after.
Since joining, what’s been your experience of Exyte Hargreaves?
So far, my experience has been really positive. Every employee I have come across has been welcoming and no one has had a bad word to say about the business. As soon as I started at the company, I noticed the strong ethos towards growing deployment within the business.
Can you talk a bit more about some of the things you’ve been working on?
During my first few months at Exyte Hargreaves my time has been dedicated to the HS2 projects. This has consisted of reviewing technical information, specifications and resolving technical issues. Also, where I am and have been involved in working groups surrounding fire rated ductwork and dampers other areas of the business have been asking me for advice on this.
What would you say is the best part of your job?
Where I am based on the HS2 site I have enjoyed the collaboration with the external project team. As an Engineer I thrive of problem solving my role allows me to problem solve almost every day.
Why would you recommend Exyte Hargreaves to another potential employee?
I would recommend Exyte Hargreaves to anyone who is up for a challenge but also enjoys a friendly working environment.
