The Role

The workshop assistant is responsible providing critical & essential support to manufacture. This role involves assisting the team fabricate & assemble HVAC products and specialist ventilation system products for safety critical facilities. This role reports directly to production supervision & sits within the operational level of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to the following.

  • Carry out general duties in accordance with weekly plans.
  • Carry out general housekeeping duties.
  • Completing painting, sealing & packaging of products in accordance with weekly plans.
  • Carry out basic tasks using power tools such as drilling, grinding etc.Assist maintenance team.
  • Assist manufacturing team across all product types such as weld purging etc.
  • Completing material movement duties & vehicle loading/unloading.
  • Perform lifting activities to support manufacture team. (Overhead crane training will be provided)
  • Comply in full with manufacturing SHEQ best practice/ behaviours and legislation.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Essential

  • Overhead crane Experience (training will be provided).
  • Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative & with others safely & efficiently.
