The Role

We are looking for a quality engineer for one of our major HVAC infrastructure projects in the South of England. The quality engineer is a key role. You will ensure that the project complies with company procedures, client requirements and legal / mandatory regulations.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Producing client specified supporting information such as technical assurance plans, ITPs and quality management plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant specifications, providing expert knowledge in maintaining and improving a quality management system in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001 and being the focal point for all Lifetime records and supporting documentation
  • Establishing minimum inspection and test criteria for all products and services and communicate these across the manufacturing or project team.
  • Manage and witness inspection and test for associated equipment at the supplier’s premises.
  • Provide support and training for managing and conducting inspections and tests during the manufacturing.
  • Create, maintain and progress the Lifetime Record (LTR) documents throughout the lifecycle of the project.

 

About You

You will have detailed knowledge of quality, environmental and health and safety standards and industry specifications for ductwork construction and associated ventilation equipment. You should demonstrate the ability to continually develop the company Management Systems by ensuring compliance with the latest National and European legislation, standards and specifications. Although not essential, it would be great if you have knowledge of commonly used inspection and test techniques including QA/QC knowledge and managing the handover process. Due to site requirements, you will need to have Security Clearance or the ability to obtain this.
