James Bevis joins Movember campaign to raise men's health awareness

Our Managing Director, James Bevis is taking part in this year’s Movember campaign to raise awareness of Men’s Health issues. Including mental health, suicide awareness, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. We’ll be documenting James’ journey on the Exyte Hargreaves website and social media channels as he attempts to grow a Mo to Save a Bro.
Movember is one of the UK’s leading men’s health charities. Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects globally. They aim to transform how health services are supporting men facing issues of mental health, suicide and male cancer.
Movember has a mission to save men around the world who are dying too young for largely preventable reasons. Recent research has suggested that millions of workers in the construction industry take their own lives. Due to a result of depression and other mental health issues. Therefore making suicide more responsible for construction-industry deaths than falls. Exyte Hargreaves has recognised this issue and taken action through the Mental Health First Aid programme and Mental Health buddies on construction sites.
That’s why James is participating in Movember to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. So by growing a moustache, he’ll join millions of people around the world who are helping men live happier, healthier, and longer lives.
