Cyber Essentials Plus Renewed
Written by John Prydderch on May 20th 2024
Exyte Hargreaves is pleased to confirm that our certification for Cyber Essentials Plus has been renewed following a successful audit.
Cyber Essentials is a Government business support scheme helping to protect companies from cyber attacks. Cyber Essentials Plus builds on the basic scheme and includes an audit of the company’s IT systems. The audit takes place on site and investigates a number of key IT controls (including access security and malware protections). Devices including laptops, desktop PCs, mobile phones and other hardware (such as servers and network devices) are tested to confirm security during the audit. All this is completed by a qualified technical assessor. Our certificate is valid for one year and needs to be renewed annually.
This certification is an aspect of our overall approach to digital innovation and digital security. In the Energy & Decommissioning, Defence and Transport sectors, data security is a key requirement. Our clients set stringent rules for cyber security so it’s an important topic for clients, suppliers and stakeholders. It can also help Exyte Hargreaves to comply with other regulatory frameworks, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act.
"Cyber Essentials Plus demonstrates that Exyte Hargreaves puts information security at the heart of our business operations. This successful audit and renewal offers assurance to our clients and stakeholders about the importance we place on the security of their data."
