IMechE Young Engineers Explore our Manufacturing Facility

Last week the IMECHE Greater Manchester Young Engineers panel paid a visit to our manufacturing facility.

Who is IMechE?

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is an independent professional association and learned society. IMECHE represents mechanical engineers and the engineering profession.

They work to provide engineers with the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and also innovate. Additionally, they support members and the wider engineering community to develop their skills throughout their careers.

Factory Floor Visit

Jordan Birtwistle (Production Manager) led the factory tour, which supported the members with HVAC CPD. As an IMECHE member himself, Jordan was happy to answer questions about our projects, manufacturing process and engineering capability.

Having the opportunity to look at the manufacturing facility was a great insight for our young mechanical engineers & building services engineers. The tour was very well organised, it was very informative, the host Jordan was absolutely incredible in providing detailed answers and teaching about the business. Most of the designers had never been on a shopfloor so seeing in real life the equipment they designed on CAD being built was a real eye-opener. Overall, we are very grateful to EHL for the opportunity provided.“

It was a good tour. I can finally put together the mechanical, electrical and software part and see how everything fits within the world of HVAC. Great job on a successful tour.
