The Role

Due to ongoing success, we have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Proposals Manager. This role is responsible for the overall day to day management of proposals including estimating, co-ordinating the tender process, identifying areas of risk/scope and co-ordinating the preparation of a selling proposal.

Key Responsibilities

· Bid Management – Oversee the entire bid process, from identifying opportunities to submitting final proposals. Ensure compliance with both internal and external governance.

· Winning Strategy – Facilitate workshops/planning meetings including working with key proposal contributors to establish a clear win strategy and develop storyboard content.

· Proposal Development – Lead the creation of compelling proposals that effectively communicate the organisation’s value proposition. Collaborate with other business functions to generate the best outcome.

· Team Coordination – Manage the bid team, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely contributions from all involved departments.

· Systems – Develop and maintain database for estimating including norms etc.

· Document Quality Control – Ensure all bid documents are accurate, well-written, and professionally presented. Conduct reviews and revisions as needed.

· Strategy Formulation – Work with senior management to develop bidding strategies that align with company objectives.

· Market Analysis – Conduct research to understand industry trends, competitor strategies, and client needs to inform bid strategies.

· Risk Assessment – Identify potential risks in bid proposals and develop mitigation strategies.

· Stakeholder Engagement – Coordinate with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, parent company and internal teams.

· Feedback and Improvement – Analyse bid outcomes, gather feedback, and implement improvements in bid processes and strategies.

About You

You will have experience of the UK construction market, experience of proposals preparation and management along with previous experience in a similar role in Construction. The role requires someone that is extremely customer focussed. Ideally you will have experience in the Nuclear industry and in particular Nuclear Ventilation. Membership of an industry professional body is preferred and ideally you will have CSCS accreditation and working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS PowerPoint and estimating packages.
